Instead, astrologers look at some of the very largest asteroids to see how they affect your birth chart. Like planetary aspects and chiron, if they occupy a conjoining or opposing place on your chart, they will have some significance in your life. The main asteroids are:

Ceres: the first asteroid discovered (in 1801). This asteroid represents "mothering", including how you were mothered, and how you mother others.

Pallas: this asteroid represents artisitc endeavors, intellect and career accomplishment.

Juno: named for the wife of Zeus, this asteroid deals in relationships, both romantically and in friendship.

Vesta: represents your propensity for work and your level of devotion to an assignment or to others.
